Harry Potter Illustrated books by J.K. Rowling and illustrated by Jim Kay.
Book review 5 out of 5 Stars
I wasn’t a fan when the illustrated book for Sorcerer’s Stone was released. I thought that it was just another ripoff to make more money. Twenty-five dollars a book, this making $150 for the entire series! And we have to wait each year for the next book! I’m sure if it was released in one big bundle it would look like a ripoff for just another book copy of this series because there is other reprint editions too. I do like some of the editions now, but the prices are ridiculous for some of them. Continue reading “Harry Potter Illustrated Books”
TGIF & March Wrap Up
Happy Friyay. I got some book-mail from @NovelHeartbeatCreations. These candles are so great! My favorite is the Paw Prints candle. It smells so good that I keep smelling it again and again. I’m a little afraid to light it because I don’t want it to go away. Might order a larger container when I have money to spare… or another big sale.
And so here I am, debating if I should just leave this short post or if I should also post a book review too. It’s been a while since I’ve posted a book review and I’ve got 10 books that I’ve read this year. And then I might make my Top 10 Books and Movies from last year too. Well I should probably leave it to just this post and go from there. I don’t want to stress over something that should be a fun hobby for me.
That’s a Wrap Up
I will mention a bit about the three books I’ve read. Well actually it was four but I’m counting it as a February read because I didn’t read that much of that book this month. Do you do that too? Count the books that you’ve read more the one month or count it for the month that you read say 20 pages of 100. Continue reading “TGIF & March Wrap Up”
My Throwback 90s Music Soundtrack
Making this list was really hard to do. The struggle was hard! I couldn’t limit myself to just 10 songs like my other soundtracks, but at least I didn’t exceed 15. I’m a Gen X gal and thinking up this list brought back a lot of nostalgia.
“Hunger Strike” by Temple of the Dog
Soundgaurdern and Pearl Jam together. Bliss.

My Current reads….
Hi all. A fresh start with 2017 has definitely helped my reading slump. I’ve read 10 books so far and I think I may be able to raise my Goodreads Book Challenge from 2016’s goal of 25 books.
Looking at all the books that I started reading last year but haven’t finished may be a little intimidating, but I’ve decided to tackle that pile on. It’s possible to get these books read if I read one book a month. And also I’ve been a mood reader, so sticking to just that one book will be a little difficult. Example I’ve been rereading Jane Eyre off and on for a year now, and even the thought of finally seeing that new movie hasn’t helped me finish that book. But I’ll still try.
In my last Instagram post I mentioned how difficult it is to be a mood reader sometimes. It’s mostly difficult for me because I don’t have that many did-not-finish (dnf) books. When I’ve read more than two chapters, I have usually decided then if I want to read the book or not, so if I decide not to read it I don’t feel guilty and felt that I’ve at least given the book a chance. So that photo up there is my current read, will finish reading soon, and hopefully will get back to reading sometime this year books. And I have been reading pretty good lately so I’m not intimidated by that pile.
Current Reads for March
I’m currently reading three books this month: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling, Rogue One (a Star Wars story) by Alexander Freed, and Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery. Continue reading “My Current Reads”
Today was a pretty lazy slow day. I did get some reading done, though it’s never enough to the amount of time I wish for. I did find time to read outside today. Reading outside has been a goal this past week and I’ve been really looking forward to this me-time. It’s been a real refreshing thing that has started to uplift my mood, along with the fact that it’s summertime, one of my favorite seasons. Peanut and I highly recommend finding some time to read outside.
So reading. What shall I read?… Well of course thanks to my habit of reading more than one book at a time, I am currently reading 3 books… Continue reading “TBR Tuesday June 28th”
Ah Monday. Thankfully this week is looking to be just ok. Today was actually relaxing. I’ve finally been getting some reading in. Yes, this week may be ok. Not too stressful or busy. Hopefully.
“And some old witch in Bath had a book that you could never stop reading! You just had to wander around with your nose in it, trying to do everything one-handed. And —”
Well I think that having a relaxing weekend helps out too. What have I been up to? Reading books. I’m acting almost done reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and I think it may end up being the third book that I finished for June! Thank goodness for that because I only finished one book in May (The Martian by Andy Weir), which explains a bit on why I haven’t done any monthly recaps or such lately. Because there hasn’t been that many new things happening. Until now, I’m actually doing some reading and loving it! Continue reading “Monday Mayhem June 27th”
