Taking a break from reading the series, so I thought I’d buck down and actually read all the short stories in this book.
I loved them all. My favorite short story is The Fountain of Fair Fortune. An excellent fairy tale where three women can find their own happiness without Knight Luckless’s help.
Each story is a translation by Hermione Granger. We never hear her opinions of the story and there needn’t be one. After the translated story, Albus Dumbledore gives his opinion and explanation. There are also footnotes of his and J. K. Rowling’s for Dumbledore’s works.
For those that were sad about the end of The Half-Blood Prince of book 6 (like myself), this book is a treat. It keeps Dumbledore in our hearts.
