TGIF
It’s Friday thank goodness. I’m almost done completing those TCM Oscar movies. As for my reading progress, it’s gotten pretty good. Two Jane Austen books and I’m liking them a lot. I’ve definitely been going crazy in highlighting some quotes on the kindle edition of Pride and Prejudice. Here’s some quotes I really liked from these books.
Currently Reading
➡ Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. 32% read. A reread and I just love it!
➡ Northanger Abbey by Val McDermid. Less than 100 pages left to read.
“Elizabeth was far from suspecting that she was herself becoming an object of some interest in the eyes of his friend. Mr. Darcy had at first scarcely allowed her to be pretty; he had looked at her without admiration at the ball; and when they next met, he looked at her only to criticise. But no sooner had he made it clear to himself and his friends that she hardly had a good feature in her face, than he began to find it was rendered uncommonly intelligent by the beautiful expression of her dark eyes.”
― Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
“It was a source of constant disappointment to Catherine Morland that her life did not more closely resemble her books. Or rather, that the books in which she found its likeness were so unexciting.”
― Northanger Abbey by Val McDermid
What a material of un-ambiguity and preserveness of valuable experience regarding unexpected feelings.
