TBR Tuesday
Another TBR Tuesday. My reading this month has been pretty slow. I would like to read more books, but I don’t seem to have enough time. The weather has actually been nice today and I wish that I could read outside but my back is bothering me.
And so maybe reading on my kindle or iPhone is distracting now. I started re-reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone last month in the hopes that I can get back to my reading speed. So far I’ve had some fun in re-reading this favorite.
I am rereading Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas. I am hoping to finish it tonight and move on to Crown of Midnight.

Hmm I’ve heard so much of that book. Might add it to my tbr

So sorry to hear about your back. . . but your dog sure is cute!!! 😀
At long last, I dug Legend out of my TBR pile and started reading it tonight. I’m also almost at the end of the audio book version of The Haters by Jesse Andrews of Me and Earl & the Dying Girl fame. I’m no prude, but The Haters is FILLED with the f-word, like on every other page, plus guh-raphic sex talk.

Thanks nothing like some pain killers and strong Naproxen pills to help that out.
Hatred sounds like a tough read… Well maybe as tough as reading an Irvine Welsh book (Trainspotting)?

I have Elizabeth’s Eat Pray on my physical bookshelf. Would love to know what you think of her writing.

She’s one of my favorites. She can be a bit long-winded, but it never takes away from the content at hand.
I like how she writes from all different perspectives and voices. She’s a beast at what she does.
Secretly, she’s my play cousin. Lol. 🙂

I’ve been thinking about when to start reading through GoT myself. I got an app on my phone that’s supposed to help me understand the Houses, places and so on.

I’m reading “A Gathering of Shadows” by V. E. Schwab, its a fun read. Loved the first book in this series. I’m also listening to “Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX, and the Quest for a Fantastic Future”, still at the very beginning but I’m very interested in this guy’s life. And sorry to hear about your back, hope you get well soon.

What was on my schedule for the week…I just finished “The Girl with All the Gifts.” I didn’t realize it was a zombie book, or I never would have picked it up (I really disliked it, but thanks to various circumstances, I ended up finishing it when I normally would have stopped reading). I finished Carolyn Gilpin’s “Facing Up.” It’s YA, which I don’t normally read, but we’ve become friends through blogging and I really, really liked it. Just started “Home is Burning” by Dan Marshall, which my SIL recommended. It’s quick and easy and fun for a book about terminal illness. I am working on my own writing, or I would probably have something else on the ‘Currently Reading’ shelf, but I think I’ll save the second book for the weekend.

I hope you do – people do seem to love it, it just wasn’t my cup of tea. And I still need to pick some books for the plane flights…

I hope your back feels better. Me, I’m reading two history books. I’m a big history book fan. One is called Lenin, Stalin, and Hitler. The other A New Age Now Begins. The dog is so cute BTW!

Thank you. Hope your reading goes well. I’m not much of a history reader myself but my Gramps and mom are.
