Friday 56

Friday 56

I’ve been seeing these posts from various blogs that I follow and liked them because some have fun quotes within them. This is a Friday meme started by Freda @ Freda’s Voice.

Rules:

  • Grab a book, any book.
  • Turn to page 56 or 56% in your eReader (If you have to improvise, that’s ok.)
  • Find any sentence, (or few, just don’t spoil it)
  • Post it.
  • Add your (url) post below (on Freda’s Friday posts) in Linky. Add the Friday post url, not your blog url.

Book 4 of The Austen Project series. I read Northanger Abbey by Val McDermid this year. And then I reread Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. As for Eligible, I just recently received it from my first subscription box of the Book of the Month. That Ring Pop candy was a cute addition to the box. I am really looking forward to reading this book. This is a modern retelling of Pride and Prejudice.

“Mary raised her eyebrows dubiously. ‘I knew there was something fishy about a graduate of Harvard Medical School ending up in an E.R. in Cincinnati. It was probably the only job he could get.'”

Have you heard of these books? Did you subscribe to any book boxes lately?

  1. I had np idea this book was a part of the series.
I never subscribe to book boxes. Firstly, the shipping to Croatia is too expencive and secondly, I’d rather buy a book I want without the risk that I’ll get a book I won’t like or have already pre-ordered.

    1. Series is written by various authors, which is why I like this series I think.

I completely understand why you’re not doing any of the subscriptions. Over Seas shipping sucks.
