Book review 5 out of 5 Stars

I wasn’t a fan when the illustrated book for Sorcerer’s Stone was released. I thought that it was just another ripoff to make more money. Twenty-five dollars a book, this making $150 for the entire series! And we have to wait each year for the next book! I’m sure if it was released in one big bundle it would look like a ripoff for just another book copy of this series because there is other reprint editions too. I do like some of the editions now, but the prices are ridiculous for some of them. Continue reading “Harry Potter Illustrated Books”

TBR Tuesday

Peanut and Eligible by Curtis Sittenfeld

Today was a pretty lazy slow day. I did get some reading done, though it’s never enough to the amount of time I wish for. I did find time to read outside today. Reading outside has been a goal this past week and I’ve been really looking forward to this me-time. It’s been a real refreshing thing that has started to uplift my mood, along with the fact that it’s summertime, one of my favorite seasons. Peanut and I highly recommend finding some time to read outside.

So reading. What shall I read?… Well of course thanks to my habit of reading more than one book at a time, I am currently reading 3 booksContinue reading “TBR Tuesday June 28th”

Harry Potter Read-Along: Topic Q #3

Michelle Book Addict Harry Potter Read-Along

Harry Potter Read-Along (or Watch-Along)

On Tuesday’s TBR post, I announced that I was going to start a Harry Potter Read-Along. How long will this event last? Well, I’m hoping that it would be about a week, and to do at least one or so of the books and movies (I read slow because life gets in the way).

The past topic questions: Question #1 and  Question #2. Be sure to either posts your thoughts in the comments below, or add your link to the blog in the comments.

Topic Question #3: Where would the Sorting Hat place you in the Hogwarts houses?

So what’s it to be? Gryffindor the brave at heart? Those sly and sometimes misunderstood Slytherins? Loyal Hufflepuff? Or wise Ravenclaw?

Hop on over to Pottermore.com to be sorted into your houses. And while you’re at it, you should pick up a wand.

Tell us where you’ve been sorted here so that we can chat about it. Or add your post page to the comments.

Topic Questions #2

Harry Potter quote wizard

“Harry — yer a wizard.” – Hagrid.

Harry Potter was 11 years old when he first met Hagrid, who told him what he really we, a Wizard.

The Question I have for everyone is who would you be in Harry Potter’s world, a Witch or Wizard, or a Muggle (non magical person)?

Tell us in your blog or in the comments below. Who are you really?

And according to the books, it’s best to know if you would be a Pure-Blood Wizard, Half-Blood, or Muggle-Born?
