Harry Potter Chamber Secrets Soundtrack

Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets

Here’s another book soundtrack for you all. I’ve been rereading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, and with that I’ve thought of making a little soundtrack from my music collection.

Black Dove by #ToriAmos

(๐ŸŽง “They don’t know that you’ve already lived on the other side of the Galaxy” ๐ŸŽง) Such a magical song. Love Tori Amos too. ๐Ÿ’—

My Throwback 90s Women in Music Soundtrack

TBT Mix Tapes

My Throwback 90s Music

Last month I made a playlist of some of the 1980’s music that I listened to. I was going to do a list of all the music for the 1990’s too, but that decade is harder for me to put into one playlist. I have one playlist on my iTunes music but many playlists for the music from the 1990’s. It’s mostly because my music taste started to really expand due to my high school and community college years. So here is one of my playlist from the 1990’s.

Women in Music

Here’s some of my favorite female performers that I really liked during the 1990’s.

Because of Lilith Fair

Liliath Fair.jpg

Lilith Fair was a concert tour and travelling music festival, founded by Canadian musician Sarah McLachlan, Nettwerk Music Group’s Dan Fraser and Terry McBride, and New York talent agent Marty Diamond. It took place during the summers of 1997 to 1999, and was revived in the summer of 2010. It consisted solely of female solo artists and female-led bands. In its initial three years, Lilith Fair raised over $10M for charity.

Water is Wide by Indigo Girls, Jewel and Sarah McLachlan

I was already a fan of a lot of these female music performers, and thanks to this festivals I found some other performers and bands to listen to.

Only Happy When it Rains by Garbage

This song is what made me a fan of this band, and they are still a favorite. Continue reading “My Throwback 90s Women in Music Soundtrack”

My Throwback 80s Music

This is a soundtrack of some of the music that I loved from the 1980s.

Kids in America by Kim Wilde

Because I was a I kid when this song was released. In fact I was the same age as one of my nieces. I may be old but I’m still a kid at heart.

Only in my Dreams by Debbie Gibson

Yes I admit it. Debbie was one of my guilty pleasures. And I admit that I even had those weird hairdos.

A Dashing Through the Snow Book & Road Trip Soundtrack

Dashing Through the Snow Debbie Macomber

Dashing Through the Snow & A Road Trip Soundtrack

I’m currently reading Dashing Through the Snow by Debbie Macomber. So far the main characters have been on a Road Trip. And that had me thinking of some go-to music for Road Trips.

Welcome to my Road Trip Songs for this book.

Free Ride & Dazed and Confused

Free Ride by Edgar Winter. Scene in the movie Dazed and Confused (1993). (There’s also the song Slow Ride by Foghat, and same movie – ending scene.

You Could Be Mine & The Terminator

You Could Be Mine by Guns N’ Poses… ย I mean, Guns N’ Roses.ย But not just because of the band or song. I picked thisย song because of the Terminator. The song is in 2 of the movies.

(My favorite video)…
Terminator 4: Salvation (John hot-wires a “Moto-Terminator”.)

Letters From Home Soundtrack

With most books that I read, I like to listen to music in the background. And also, some books just reminds me of songs or music genres.

When I was reading Millie’s Fling by Jill Mansell, I created a British theme soundtrack. It was fun doing that, and even helped me get in the Brit-Lit mood.

Letters From Home

Now I’m reading a historical fiction book. I don’t often read historical fiction, and I’ve noticed that the ones I’ve read lately have turned out to be gems (The Book Thief being the cut above – read this year).

Letters From Home by Kristina McMorris is becoming one of those gems. I’m over 30% into the story and I’m really liking it. I don’t want to stop reading it, but I have to in order to get a move on with some pre-holiday-house-cleaning and let alone the daily stuff.

The Music Soundtrack for Letters From Home

Top Song (and quote)

Letters Home from the Garden of Stone by Everlast

A December 2007 single. It was offered for free from martyr-inc.com. The song is from Love, War and The Ghost of Whitey Ford album.

Please forgive me, Morgan pleaded, eyes raised upward. It was then, in the numbing silence, when he finally dared wonder: Were prayers of murderers, when fighting on the โ€œright sideโ€ of the war, ever heardโ€” let alone answered?
